This is Adam Graves' 1993-1994 New York Rangers game-worn home white jersey. It is his set 1 sweater which was worn for the entire first half of the season. 93-94 was by far the best season of Graves' career, setting career highs with 52 goals and 79 points. Graves was named to the NHL second all-star team, played in his only NHL all-star game, set the Rangers all-time single season franchise record for goals, and helped the Rangers win their first Stanley Cup in 54 year during this historic season.
The jersey shows heavy use, particularly on the sleeves. It's difficult to count an exact number as many of them merge with one another, but I count at least 17 repairs: 9 on the right sleeve and 8 on the left. There are also puck/stick marks spread throughout the jersey. It has been custom shortened for Graves with the extra material hemmed and sewn up inside the jersey. The upper left chest is autographed by Graves: "Adam Graves 9, 1994!" in black marker. The shirt originated from a charity auction at "An Evening With The Rangers" event in support of the prevention of child abuse on February 16, 1994. It is accompanied by a program from the event as well as a photo of Graves holding this exact jersey. Since then it has been registered into the Meigrade system and has a detailed COA from the Meigray Group.
This shirt has been photo matched to a game action photo of Graves playing against the Florida Panthers at Madison Square Garden during the 1993-94 season. The long stick mark on the stomach area of the jersey can clearly be seen in the photo for a perfect photo match.
