Ty-Co Memorabilia
This is the first pair of gloves Steven Stamkos wore in the NHL. They were worn during the first part of his rookie season with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2008-2009. According to the equipment manager rookies receive gloves like this with "Tampa Bay Lightning" stitched on the cuff until they officially make the team. Stamkos was issued this pair and then once he made the team and the season started he elected to keep this pair for the beginning part of the regular season. I have the gloves photo matched to multiple games in his rookie season. Photos show that this pair was worn by Stamkos at least into late November from early September training camp. This is the pair of gloves that he was wearing when he played his first NHL game, recorded his first NHL point/assist, and scored his first NHL. The gloves came directly from the Tampa Bay Lightning and have their COA.
