This is Jed Ortmeyer's 2005-2006 New York Rangers game-worn Hurricane Katrina Relief jersey. This jersey was worn in the first period of the Rangers' home opener on 10/6/05, the Rangers first game at Madison Square Garden after the lockout. The Rangers lost this game to the Montreal Canadiens 4-3. The jersey shows light use with some sweat stains throughout the lower part of the shirt. It has the NHL Cares sewn onto the right chest and was auctioned off by the league shortly after the season openers to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The jersey originated from the NHLPA and has their COA.
