This is a Mark Messier game-used TPS Response Plus stick. It is one of the 11 sticks that Mark used on 3/31/04 at Madison Square Garden, his last NHL game. The blade is autographed by Messier in silver paint pen, along with the date of the game. On the game video, you can see Mark signing and dating the sticks in the locker room before the game. In one of the pictures below you can see the signature on the blade through a hole in the tape. Under the name box on the shaft, there is a "3/2" written in black marker. According the Mark's sister, this was written on all of his last game sticks. The handle tape still remains intact, but the blade tape has been removed to show the signature. The stick was won from Mark Messier's skyway charity auction through Steiner Sports, and has a COA from Steiner Sports signed by Brandon Steiner.

In the pictures below you can see Messier using a stick with the white lettering a slight tinge of red, like the stick I have. Most of the other pictures show him using a stick with the lettering pure white.
